Bella+Canvas 3001 or Comfort Colors 1566: which blank should you pick?

We print on two blanks: the Bella+Canvas 3001 tee and the Comfort Colors 1566 crewneck. They are different animals, and the choice is mostly about weight and how you like your clothes to fit.

The tee: Bella+Canvas 3001

• 100% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton at 4.2 oz per square yard. Heather colors are cotton-poly blends.
• Unisex retail fit: it follows the body a little rather than boxing it. Side seams help it keep its shape.
• Sizes S to 3XL in White, Ash, Natural and two ice-blue heathers. Not every color comes in every size.
• Feels like a good everyday tee. Light enough for Phoenix in September.

The crewneck: Comfort Colors 1566

• 80% ring-spun cotton, 20% polyester fleece at 9.5 oz. More than twice the weight of the tee.
• Garment-dyed, which means the finished sweatshirt was dyed after sewing. The color is softened and slightly uneven on purpose, like a shirt that has been washed for a year.
• Relaxed fit with a ribbed collar, cuffs and hem. Most people size up.
• Sizes S to 3XL, in White.

How the artwork behaves on each

The same design prints on both. On the tee it reads crisp and flat. On the fleece it has a little more texture because the fabric surface is looser. The artwork file has a white background, which is why we only print on White and four light colors: on White it disappears, on Ash, Natural and the two ice-blue heathers it shows as a faint lighter rectangle up close.
