The Bella+Canvas 3001 runs true to size in a unisex retail fit. If you wear a medium in most brands, you wear a medium here. The one thing to know is that “unisex” means it is cut on a men’s block, so it is straighter through the waist than a women’s tee.
The numbers
Inches, garment laid flat, from the manufacturer. Allow about 1 inch either way. We print S to 3XL; the full run is shown so you can compare with a shirt you own.
| Size | XS | S | M | L | XL | 2XL | 3XL | 4XL |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Width | 16.5 | 18 | 20 | 22 | 24 | 26 | 28 | 30 |
| Length | 27 | 28 | 29 | 30 | 31 | 32 | 33 | 34 |

The 2-minute way to pick
- Take a tee you like the fit of and lay it flat.
- Measure across the chest, 1 inch below the armpits. That is your width.
- Find the closest width in the table. If you are between two, the smaller one is closer to the body, the larger one is looser.
Two common cases
Women who want a fitted look: go one size down from your men’s size, or pick your usual women’s size and expect a slightly longer body.
Tall and slim: the length grows 1 inch per size while the width grows 2. If you need length, go up one and accept a little more room.
After the first wash
Airlume cotton is pre-shrunk, so expect very little change when washed cold and dried low. Hot water and a hot dryer can take up to half an inch off the length, which is a reason to follow the care label rather than a defect.
