Our artwork files were drawn on a white background, and a print-to-order printer prints the whole file, background included. On a white shirt that is invisible. On a black shirt it was a white box with a dog in it. We looked at the previews, decided that was not a shirt we would want to wear, and took the dark colors off the site on 09/05/2026.

A note on the images below and on every product page: they are print previews from our print partner, not photographs of a finished shirt.
Why not just fix the file?
We can, and we may. Re-cutting the artwork so the background is transparent means re-checking every design at print size, and until that is done we would rather sell fewer colors than sell a shirt with a box on it. If the dark colors come back, this note will say so.
How to avoid a surprise
- Look at the print preview for the exact color you are choosing. Each color has its own preview.
- If you want the artwork to sit directly on the fabric with no visible panel, choose White.
- If you like the heathers, know that the rectangle is faint, not a hard white box.
